Carbon Filters and Enclosures

Do It Yourself Carbon Filter
I built this from plans on the internet. It works very well and was inexpensive to construct. For the price of one commercial filter, I was able to construct half a dozen D.I.Y. filters.
This particular filter is outfitted with a 4 inch inline fan. We use several "portable" units like this for air scrubbing when we harvest our medicine.

When the need to filter air from multiple sources arises, a carbon filter enclosure is required. With the addition of BLASTGATES, you can achieve total control over your air cleansing needs. From controlling the airflow from different odour sources, to diverting the cleansed air to assist in heating your home in winter. (Air cooled lights)

I found these little gems at a local woodworking powertool supplier. They are used with sawdust vacuuming systems and tabletop powertools. It's a sliding trap-door that allows you to control the flow of air to a duct.
